Probably the biggest procedural thing I can think of is the upcoming game No Man’s Sky, the issue there though is that the quality is not going to be as good as when you design each thing, and you’ll end up with stuff that’s technically different but certain components are still recognizable and so it kind of makes it a waste to do something procedurally.
Procedural art in game development doesn’t work.
On the long run, after 3~4 years, simply compare the results from a handcrafted vs procedural asset library.
After looking at the handcrafted work, the procedural will always look like sht.
