We are a very small indie team of goblins based in middle earth (New Zealand) called Lost Goblin and this is our latest project:
Goblins of Elderstone is a sandbox tribe management city building game with some light RPG and strategy elements filled with adorable chaotic goblins that will kill each other and burn down the village if they don’t like how you rule them!

Hey great question - the humans are not, by default, always the “good guys” in our game and we wanted a way to de-humanize them a little to maybe show how goblins view humans. The white eyes are not necessarily the final design if we find something to better make this point and make them less zombie-like. Do you have other suggestions?
Well that might go a little too far, they wont all be super evil I just want to de-humanize them a bit, let the player associate more with his goblins than the humans… we’ll try a few ideas over time and see how it goes.
We have been working very hard and neglecting updating our forum post here, so I best do so now! Here are some updates to our UI and the game in general.
The game has come a long way over the last few months and I’m happy so announce that we are going to have a booth at Pax Australia in November!! So if you are going, please find us and come say hi!
But now for some screenshots showing some of the updates on the game:

Then we have worked on the UI of the buildings and the goblins - the art is still very placeholder and alpha, but we are focusing on the functionality first…
Here is a nice larger village with some of the latest buildings in as well - The Lumbermill, the Blacksmiths and the Weavers Hut (lights still need to be placed):
