Hi, I’m Brandon and my friend Josh and I have been working on Solar Purge for more than a few months now and I thought it would be nice to share what we have going on! At the moment it is only the two of us managing all the gamedev roles so it is hard to keep people up to date but we still try our best. We do have a group of people that are helping out now and learning right along with us in their spare time. The blood FX on the ground are Decals that run through a blueprint to spawn when an enemy dies. We use a texture that has a different black and white image on each RGB channel to save space while having several variations of the FX. We then run it through a master material to change the color, Rough, and other parameters on the fly or in a blueprint if needed.
I don’t have the project open at the moment but I can share some images when I get a chance.
