wheres the rest of the trees XD or do they end there and have no leaves? And it looks all the sa… Wait what this pak has more trees to it then this one?
Are the other trees similar, or do you have a variety (including leaves)? Also, what kind of performance do you get? Also, how many polygons is each model?
Here are two new screenshots showing the assets used in the previews screenshot, as well as one more tree trunk.
The trees are all quite different in shape, mostly all of them have interesting root growth and moss on them.
Most of them are oak and beech trees originally, but for the branches we will only add a needle and leave type.
All trees have 4 LOD levels, ranging from LOD0 = 24k/12k down to LOD3 = 1,5k
Performance for the example scene is around 90fps at 1080p, with wind transforms on all plants, using highest quality rendering.
This is running on a Geforce GTX Titan, been a little less wasteful with the plants you’ll get well over 120fps, especially when fading them out on distance.
I’m really excited to see what the leaves and branches look like. Most of the other offerings look very blurry, I can’t wait to see how these turn out.
The branch material is still wip, missing an extra SSS and specular mask.
You can build them the way you like, make them even taller if you want to.
The trunk assets scale down to 67% of the previews level, each time you add another one of it.
