Our team at Survios has been using Unreal 4 from the engine’s launch developing our VR interaction and gameplay systems. We showed a demo of the game publicly for the first time at the Virtual Reality Los Angeles meetup and are now happy to talk about it elsewhere.

Awesome!

I’m glad to see another VR game in the works that’s taking avatar embodiment seriously, despite the challenges.

BTW, I suggest you guys take a look at @darkZ’s Full Body IK plugin (can be found in this forum), it will give you much more stable and pleasing results than the standard two-bone IK or even FABRIK (since for one thing, it has constraints).

Yeah we’re doing our own custom IK tech for player avatar. We’re still experimenting with full body visibility vs arms only. Its definitely a tough challenge.

The game is impressive.
It would needs some melee moves, and why movements in game are smaller than real movements ? .
Keep the good work.

We’re improving our player to AI and AI to player melee system as I write this. The player’s hand movements are generally one to one to its in game counterpart.

**** that’s looking sick! Only feedback is that the lighting looks a little dark, maybe cranking up the fog a bit could also help with readability. But then again it’s hard to judge these from screenshots, things always feel so different in VR

Looking sick

Would definitely give this a try!

@Minos, I agree on the lighting. We’ve been tweaking it a decent amount to be more readable, it definitely looks lighter in a headset.
