    Samsung Gear VR support?

Apologies if this is declared somewhere and I missed it but I was wondering when there will be support for the upcoming Samsung Gear VR? (Android Note 4 w/3D.)

My DK2 Rift arrives next week. I was planning to use a decent laptop for demos but Samsung/Oculus have answered my prayers and are bringing their solution to market way ahead of my expectations.

I'm not looking for exact dates but can you provide any clue to a general time frame for UE4 support? (Meaning: When can (will?) we be able to build output that runs on the Gear VR?) I plan to demo to guys in expensive suits and these guys generally do not enjoy a lot of fiddling about with cables and the like. The Samsung looks ideal for instant impact.

I understand that there are now (at least) three different life cycles to integrate but it does look as if Oculus are directing the software/firmware efforts.

If I can build then simply point it at the device (the way generating for Android currently works) I would be in heaven. UE4 and Oculus are doing a decent job of trying to tie all of these pieces of string together but this last piece of string has made me realize the folly of PC demoing (for my purposes).

    Now I 'need' This piece.

(That's what you people get for building a masterpiece that allows dummies such as myself to create convincing products.)

I just hope that the whole integration problem, with so many companies and schedules, is in hand. (Tell me it is in hand and I will love you all forever.)

Samsung Gear VR its "Powered by Oculus" i guess since work like the DK1 (tracking) will work with the Oculus SDK now. And that mean UE4 already have support for GearVR

That's not the issue, Android doesn't have Oculus support in UE4, so to use the SamsungVR headset you need to be able to build for Android with VR support.

Does anyone knows if support will be strict only to Gear VR? Or there will be sort of compatability between all mobile VR headsets, e.g. Google Cardboard, Durovis Dive, Cmoar etc.?
