Light Shaft Bloom causing weird effect

    Hi everyone,

Experiencing an odd issue with the Light Shaft Bloom on a Directional Light - see attached screenshot.

This only happens in this particular project, which is a clean 4.23 project + the Mountains Pack by Brushify

    Any clues to this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm actually experiencing a super similar issue with another brushify pack....

What do the Light Shaft Bloom settings look like? Does it happen with another HDRI? Do you have realtime enabled in the viewport?

Usually you see this when the sky texture doesn't have the proper range. Having realtime disabled in the viewport also means TAA no longer accumulates which creates blocky artifacts in effects like this.

        Hey guys,
Sorry it took so long for me to find this thread!

This was an issue caused by the Lightshaft bloom. There was a new parameter in 4.23 that was added which caused this issue with certain graphics settings. I've now patched the issue so it shouldn't occur in the future.

        Cheers,
        Joe
