    Landscape Splatmap from World Machine

    From World Machine I was able to get my height map and splat map, but I can't figure out how to get the splat map to work with the landscape.

    What's the splat map?

    Either way the height blend only blends the paint. You would have to paint one layer into another to see the effect it has.

    And it's fairly easy to describe... without the height blend you get a completely flat transition. With the height blend, the blend occurs on lower points before it does for high points as detailed in the height texture.
    This provides a little extra detail (at a somewhat significant computational cost).

    Note, a heightmap is black and white. Not blue. But then again you are using separate channels...
