    Dynamic sky and volumetric clouds

    Hello all,

I once found a Minecraft shader that added a beautiful sky with volumetric clouds. I really fell in love with the effects and the transitions between day and night, and I planed to create something similar in UE4. I'll be attaching some screenshots of Minecraft, and my question is:
What is the best way to do it on Unreal? Can it be done with blueprints? Can I use C++?

The system have weather and a day/night transition. I'll also add temperature but I think it'll be easy. The thing that really bother me is the clouds. I don't know how the hell I can create an infinite volumetric cloud layer with ground shadows, with the possibility of reach them and get beyond the clouds. It is possible to create all this from C++? I know there are plugins as TrueSky, but they're expensive and I don't want to depend of plugins, I like to create my own content.

Need something where start... any ideas?

    Thank you.
