    PNG on HuD is way too bright

    Hello all,

    I try to display a PNG on the HuD, but the bright level in game is way too high. The PNG is 8bit and declared as no sRGB on the options.

    I do'nt understand why, it appears like this.

    Did you try keeping sRGB checked on? I know the engine used to have issues importing PNGs. I always import Targas to avoid these kinds of issues, even for HUD elements.

      Yes I tried different things, checking sRGB too.

      I'm quite sure it's a problem of PNG file, not configuring it.

      I made the renders with Iray within Substance Painter.

      I'll keep in touch if I find an answer...

        Old post, but maybe someone might look this up again, since I also just had the question: My .png (exported from Blender) was too bright as UI element.
        Setting the RGB Curve to 2,0 gave me the desired result. Click image for larger version
