There appears to be a rotation bug when custom modeled creatures are walking is there a way to fix this. I think it might be something wrong with the dev kit because I heard someone else is also having the same problem.

The Epic Games update may not be out yet, but the binaries and diff'd content is out if you don't want to wait

Is there any thing at all you can use on an object (I.E. smithy) that'll actually fire in game for the event graph?

I have tried every event nothing fires the event graph in the game.. I even tried ONHIT (collison) and in the editor it worked perfectly (stupid method) but it worked.. I upload it and it doesn't work in the actual game however

    Hi,

referring to 2.10 * fixed crashes when importing assets from marketplace

I cant get any of my assets to import - either the ones I bought or the free ones. Can you please explain how you do this?

It is a shame that you lost you progress, but Wildcard did everything right on their site. If you get errors after saving all the submaps on a new location you have to investigate the cause of these errors. But that's different topic. Wildcard have to keep their files up to date to the latest steam version. If that means that the level got changed since the latest update, you will receive new level files for your editor. There is no way around since you cant merge maps on base like you could do with code. There is just no way around saving. Besides that, you should backup your files on a regular base. No matter if is an update to come or not.

Don't get me wrong. I feel you, bro. Everyone of us here has lost some files and work in the past, but in this case it was you fault alone.

The reason I was editing the original TheIsland map is because things are setup in a certain manner that I liked and decieded to work with that setup and redoing stuff I wanted redone. TheIsland map had the truesky and light settings done, it was perfect as I could not find the truesky settings on a new map blueprint.

Everytime I backed that TheIsland map up and tried to load the backup the editor gave me fatal errors and crash, felt obligated to continue working on the TheIsland map instead of redoing everything in a new map.

Now I know you cannot recover the work I hade put into my mod, but I have been wokring on it for about a week for the Modding contest, so because of some incompetence from the studios side I will have to redo a weeks worth of work now. Thanks...
Are you serious? The Devkit is supposed to keep original files in their original state. How about backing up your work or making a copy the Island map before you edit it? Why are you even editing the original Island map to begin with?

In other words your own fault, don't blame the devs... Geez.

Im sure the moderators nag on you about when the next release is due.
And we forum users nag on moderatkors for more info about new update/etc so on.
But when you give info to moderator and they post it, it gives us modders some expectation.

At least have some dignity and drop into the forum and say. "Hey guys you know what. we ran into some more issues we need to take care of before we can do a update., sadly it not going to happen today."
I had plans i dropped because i was awaiting your update and was ready to play with it. but noo update. got my time wasted for nothing.
Yeah, agreed. It's really frustrating to constantly get new release dates for the update and then in the end it gets delayed more and more. I don't plan on reserving time for modding till the update actually hits.

More communication is all that is needed.
