    Ingame Ad's for my Free Games

    Hello,

    So I have been using unity for a longtime now creating my games for free and having ad's in them. Now what is the go with ads among games made with UT4. How simple is it too place a ad into the game.

    UE4 makes it's easy to get iAd's up and running. The TappyChicken Sample Game available from the marketplace shows off the use of the blueprint nodes that call the actions. They are currently called EXPERIMENTAL Close/Hide/Show Ad Banner.

      Thank you I did not see that blueprint What about android ads, I have a few more different ad companys I use with my games would their be a way too add them also?

        I would like too know now if I can place my own ad companys in there instead of using iad.

          Hi Meathead,

          We don't currently have an API for other advertising providers, but it would not be terribly difficult to integrate a 3rd party advertising service into UE4 as a plugin.

                  At this stage we use Admod and Chartboost, Now these are not the major ad company's for mobile but ones that we do use for our services. We use these two because they work on both android and Ios

                  A Poll would be nice but why not just get a list of what are the major ad company's that people use and then they can work on each one, not leave any in the dark

                  I was wondering it should not be too hard to write the file that fires off the commands for each different ad company. The only reason why I ask is that mobile is now becoming freemium and ad's are now vital supply for income if your game is free.

                    Chartboost would definitely be great! We're using Chartboost as our main ad network! But are also always trying out new ones.

                    I agree with Meathead, ad networks are vital for mobile devs and it would be great for UE4 to have as many ad networks supported as possible. This would open the doors to even more devs to use UE4!

                          Lets say you can make a decent living with a few games via mobile via ad's, But if your game is not worthy to play then dont expect much

                            How about first making a tutorial/documentation on how to make plugins? Something like this: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentatio.../Plugins.html/
                            I think that's the fastest way to take advantage of open source community.

                              As I have been talking with the ad company's, they have said that Unreal is in the works but not number 1 on their list. I have been asked too get more people too ask them. The more people who want it the faster they will add it, as one of the company's had said to me.
