    HTML5 Download times

    Hi All,

I have been thinking about making a game using the html5 structure on 4.23.

The biggest thing that has been putting me off is that I noticed when I play existing games on Itch.io they require a download (about 100mb) every time - it doesn't appear to cache itself. Therefore when you load the game a second time you are faced with the same slow loading screen.

Also the download is very slow.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this topic and reducing the wait time before playing the game?

    Thanks

    Jack

    Hello,@hines1994

Please try this code,HTML5 Download times

Clicking the following link downloads the .png as "MyGoogleLogo.png" instead of navigating to its href value: download me. The markup is simple:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.google.com/.../logo2w.png" download="MyGoogleLogo">download me</a>
I hope this code will be useful.
    Thank You.
