    Steam Connection Failure

    Anyone know if the ability to update the Steam master server with a server entry is disabled by default until your game is released?

    My game is currently 'Unreleased' so not sure if that is preventing me from updating the master server list? Tried to research this on Steamworks but did not find any clear answer.

    We are setting the following settings in the SDK:

    Session->SessionState: EOnlineSessionState::Creating
    Session->NumOpenPrivateConnections 0
    Session->NumOpenPublicConnections 10
    Session->HostingPlayerNum 0
    Session->OwningUserName Mentos
    Session->SessionSettings.BuildUniqueId 955982468
    Session->SessionSettings.bUsesPresence: 0

    SteamGameServerPtr->SetModDir(gamename);
    SteamGameServerPtr->SetProduct(gamename);
    SteamGameServerPtr->SetGameDescription(gamename);
    SteamGameServerPtr->LogOnAnonymous();
    SteamGameServerPtr->SetHeartbeatInterval(-1);
    SteamGameServerPtr->EnableHeartbeats(true);
    SteamGameServerPtr->ForceHeartbeat();

    But when we try to create an internet session we get a "Steam connection failure" from UE4's Steam online subsystem.

    Anyone else get this?
