    Getting Character Movement variables

    I'm trying to use an Event Graph to change the Character Movement settings on a specific Character Blueprint during gameplay but not sure of the best way to do this.

    If I create a new float in the Event Graph with the same name as one of the floats in the Character Movement component, can I get and set that? Or is there a better way of exposing the Character Movement variables in Blueprints?
