    Steam Damage

    What would be the best way for the player to take damage when overlapping a steam particle system and having it keep damaging them over time until they are no longer overlapping the system? It seems really easy but I think i'm just overthinking it so I wanted to ask this forum what they would think would be the best way to do it.

    Ideally, also, I would want the the player to emit a sound (like a grunt just as an example) when the damage is taken and maybe have the screen flash red too.

    Any help would be much appreciated.
