    Create dead spots behind touch UI

    Hello all I'm Developing a touch screen based interaction.

    I have an orbital camere around my object and I'm trying to make it so certain areas of the screen do not accept touch inputs for the orbital camera actor.

    Right now when I try to scroll down on some of my UI objects it makes the camera look down.

    I've tried putting buttons behind it and other adjusting the visibility but it still seems like the touch UI will always affect my orbital camera.

    Any thoughts on creating a dead zone for the Player controller on the UI so I can just tap my UI icons?

    No luck here? for some reason no matter what I put the settings on I cant get the UMG/UI Widget to take priority over the touch for the orbital camera.
