    possess when initiating from a cast

    So I am trying to possess a vehicle from a hud which is activated by a collision box near the vehicle, but it seems when I cast and call function from the hud it wont work, but the function works fine when called from event graph, I tried the 2 different variations and it wont work. Is there some setting to acknowledge mouse click maybe, because i tried putting a print text on cast failed and it isnt failing and a remove all widgets at the end clears hud so im confused!! any suggestions appreciated

    There is a very good use of Casting and calling functions in this series from Nebula Games Inc. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...1jewB5s78zQHIy You have to watch the videos from the beginning but, he does a bunch of successful casts and function calls from different blueprints. It could help you out.

      There's no need to cast here at all. Get All returns the correct type already - check the blue note. How many Reds are there in the game? Is the BusRef valid?

        There is only one red, its character blueprint and the bus ref is fine as it all works when called in the event graph of the red character. I am having to us shift F1 to show mouse and click hud, im thinking the issue may lay there but not sure

        I did the cast as I wanted to be sure, im aware i dont need to in that case but i have seen that message when i have assigned a variable to an actor type, but not assigned the actual actor so it has failed,

          may explain whats going on better than i can! as you can see in vid the print text node on cast failed isnt being executed and the set visibility after the possess is
