    Need Event in Actor Class Blueprint to communicate with UMG

    Hello -

    I am looking to use a Custom Event within a Actor Class Blueprint to trigger a Custom Event inside a UMG blueprint. I attached reference. The UMG interface on my screen is working as intended. But using an Actor Blueprint to try and talk to the UMG interface is not doing anything.

    Do I need Event Dispatchers. Do I need to cast into the UMG? See attached. Thanks in advance for any help.

    You need a reference to your widget. I see you created a variable container for it but never set the variable so it will be null. Once you create the widget, save the output by "Setting" you widget ref variable to the output of the create widget node. With a proper reference you will be able to call events from the widget in the track interface BP. For help creating references, casting, event dispatchers and interfaces check out the videos in this series.
