    Handling variables in a "manager" menu based game?

    Hello everybody.. Ive been using unreal for 2 years and Im not Hideo Kojima but I can do little things (typical thing coming from youtube tutorials, epic videos so on). Comunnicating variables between widgets has been the great challenge.
    My question is.. if you are making a menu based game like a manager or simulator (democracy 3) where you dont need anything rendered as a 3d object.. can we use Player object as an actor just for comunication?
    I mean.. I want to use that fast comunication that player actor give us but I dont know which one is the basic one (pawn, character) to use just for the player data..
