    Lock a player's movement to a spline on collision?

    Hey guys, participating in my first Global Game Jam, and I'm trying to create a "grinding" system by locking a player's movement to a spline-path after they collide with it. I've searched for tutorials, but all of the ones I've found require the player to start ON the spline path itself as the default game state (like a sidescroller). I'm a complete novice to UE4, so it's difficult for me to translate the tutorials I've found into what I need to do. Does anyone have any pointers on where I could start, or any other tutorials or resources I could look at for help?
