    Paper2d hitboxes - which of these approaches to use?

    Hey, so I'm making a 2d game that has a basic combat system. I need to be able to attach hitboxes to my sprites that will be used for triggering damage, but won't have collision with the world. There's a lot of answers in google searches for this, but most seem to be a few years old, and all of them have different solutions.


    This question mentions using lists of box or sphere traces.

    This question mentions using BoxComponents.

    In addition, you can set collision boxes in the sprite editor, but it seems like you can't copy them through to other sprites, or set the kind of collision per box.


    Which of these methods provide the fastest pipeline for getting hitboxes and potentially hurtboxes implemented through a large number of sprites? Are there better methods that I haven't seen?
