    Plans to implement caustics?

    I'm pretty sure this is not possible at the moment unless I've missed something.

    I think it's a no-brainer, considering the fact that we have PBR system now.
    Here are some caustics baked on to the lightmap in assassins creed unity:

    And I feel it helps ground glass materials as well specially for stuff like bottles, glass sculptures and so on.

    Does anyone know if there any plans to implement this? What are your workarounds right now? I personally try to avoid any glass structures since I haven't found any way to make them look integrated with the environment.

    Most of the time it's not noticeable so people don't pay much attention to that feature.

      I can see how that might be the case in a videogame, but for archvis it's more noticeable imo, that's why I posted this here. As soon as you have a glass on a table you notice how it looks very off because the shadow it casts makes no sense.

        You could definitely fake this with a light function, could be worth having a look into!

          That would be nice but better reflections on mirror and glass trumps caustics imo.
