I did a little cover of this track from Howard Shore, for use in a fly-throught capture

How did you like the new update? Is it too much orange`ish? Maybe to much light overall? Or should I keep it the way it is now?

Lucky you! Yeah, I know this is a big task. I have watched some breakdowns and the blogs from The Hobbit and I see how much work and time you guys and girls put into it. By the way, Weta gave me some great feedback on Twitter I also know it take lots of time to create proffessional CGI films when they used 3 months on a miniature bulding of The Chamber Of Elrond in The Lord Of The Rings.

If you was to say something about the current scene, what do you think? I can handle honest feedback

                Nice work.

For me personally (which you'll know why when you look at my signature), I am quite familiar with this environment!

This would look good with some boulders/rocks scattered around. The odd dragon might not go amiss too

I wish I was able to work for Weta. Unfortunately I live half a world away New Zealand.

Yeah, the mountain need some noise work. Will add some rocks later.
The 3rd screenshot in the last update, is where they are looking for the keyhole.

You mean the King beneath the mountain? :P Infact, Im working on him in Blender now.

Looking good so far Frequia , i would tone down the orangeness a bit though to give it a bit more contrast.

Excited to see how this progresses.

Alright then... I think you could aim lower on simpler things to gather more experience while getting used to finish the projects you start.
I also believe you won't be able to achieve the quality you aim for, but I'd love to see you prove me wrong!
Weta's folks are IMHO the very best at what they do and certainly will be very very far from easy to reproduce what they've done. Good luck though

If you are going to get somewhere as an artist you must handle honest feedback Yeah, Weta are the best in the CGI field. As I wrote, I know this is a bit task and I know I wont be anywhere near the quality that Weta has. They have in-house tools and tech. But I will do my best to visualize the Erebor scene with UE4 tech. Thanks for the tips about to start with smaller things first

Following what BrUnO XaVIeR said, I'd say instead of making a scene at that scale, make 1 rock piece only. But master it and blow everyone away. That goes a long way itself. Then go for the next piece and so on. Get to making the scene when you have amazing pieces to put together. You have done modeling, texturing, lighting, level design etc. means you are spending your time but I'd give it a 1 out of 10. This is not to discourage yoy, but to encourage you to push forwards and look for ways of improving it all piece by piece. Trust me, I've been there. (And I still have a long way to go).

Thanks for your feedback. I understand that this isnt so good and cant be compared with Wetas work. I will start over and focus on small outdoor scenes.
And dont worry, Im not sad or anything about your feedback, Im just glad to know what everybody think, so I dont "meet the wall". As everything else in life,
