    [GAME] CyberPunch hack n slash/fighting

    This is my solo project CyberPunch.

    It's a mixture of a hack n slash and a fighting game set in a dystopic future.

    You can switch between third person and fighting game mode if there is a single enemy on the screen and the left analogue stick adjusts to convert the analogue forward into right and right into down etc. But the buttons stay the same.

    The game utilises a limb system similar to the Tekken games. Where top face button controls left fist and right face button controls right fist etc.

    The game utilises a context sensitive attack animation system similar to the batman arkham series.

    The game utilises a weapon switching/modifier system similar to the DmC reboot by ninja theory.

    The game utilises my own creation, the auto dodge system, which is context sensitive and has you jumping and ducking over and under swords and bullets and fists and feet.

    The game utilises a random modular enemy system based on enemy type, hard, medium or easy where the clothing for that type is assigned randomly.

    The game utilises a counter system similar to batman but uniquely different because of auto dodge.when you hold back to auto dodge you activate a timer which when you quickly press forward and attack you can counter. I did it this way partly because of the auto dodge system and partly because I wanted the player to have to expose themselves and take a risk when countering.

    The game will feature more ranged and melee weapon types but for now its limited to dual pistols and a single katana.

    The main character for story mode is Troy Hayder. There will be a female option available called Morrigan.

    There may be online capabilities to do with the fighting game mode system at some point.

    There will be platforming and puzzle sections as well as a bloody palace style mode.

          The story is going to be about different mega corps from the future battling it out over a military contract to design the perfect soldier... There will be five corporations known collectively as the hand... Each corporation will specialise in a particular brach of science. Cybernetics, genetic modification, robotics, chemistry and a control group...

          That's the fighting side of the story...

          I'll do a cutscene when I get around to it.... I've got other stuff to keep me occupied like platforming sections and a new weapon system I had an idea for but I'm not sure is possible...

            New video showcasing weapon switching and functional health bars... I also tightened up distances for hit and dodge and perfected my auto dodge system...

            The weapons in this game are called recons, short for reconfigure... They can pretty much reconfigure into any kind of hand held melee or ranged weapon and everyone has one...

            One of the gameplay ideas I have in mind is that while your fighting enemies will be reconfiguring their weapons to try and get an advantage over you so you will have to switch it up a lot... Kind of like a continually changing combat puzzle

            Currently I only have twin blades, katanas, great swords and pistols... But I am planning sword and shield and dual katanas and maybe tomahawks and if your lucky and I can figure out how to do it the way I want a ninja chain and blade... Ranged weapons will have some options too such as shuriken and uzis and grenade launchers etc...

            Because of my limb system for the control layout it has opened up some very interesting gameplay mechanic ideas for combat... You can bé in martial arts stance and switch to melee weapon but still use your feet and then if you press the left hand button and hold ranged weapon you can use your gun in your left hand whilst still wielding your sword.... Its awesome...

            Plenty more stuff planned... I've got an idea for the loading screen... That blue fist is going to zoom into the camera with a material inside it that has the word loading... Which will be swapped for a loading image seamlessly etc...

            There will also be platforming and puzzle sections... The platforming will involve all the usual street cymurai wall running and ninja grappling hook stuff... There might also be some bike sections...
