    [SCENE] Desert scene

    Hi everybody,

This is my first post here showing my work in progress on this forum. I'm a 3d generalist with a background in rendering (Corona, 3ds max) and 3 months ago I started with Unreal.
This scene is my first exterior in Unreal. Lot's of things to learn and do still but I thought I'd share it with you.

I used a lot of Megascans assets. I created the trees in Speedtree and the Atomic blast was made with Embergen.

Still to do, setting up camera's and animation in the sequencer. Adding little details in animation. And other small stuff.

Let me know what you guys think, what I can improve. Thanks

Nice work! Very realistic and ominous. I like the level of detail in the foreground with the shrubs and sand. I might change your title to "desert scene" though. When I clicked on this thread, I was expecting a detailed render of some ice cream or brownies (which I'm sure would have been awesome too).

More relevant to the image itself, maybe make the mushroom cloud a lot brighter or perhaps a bit of a cloud ring around it?

        Scene looks cool!

One minor suggestion - make the mushroom cloud a little less perfectly spherical -

Thanks guys, changed the title to desert :-) I'm still working on the animation of the blast. I'll upload a work in progress video when I get the chance.

Looks tech. Like I'm nuking a desert-tile in Civ.

Thanks for the comments. I have run into a problem that I can't solve. When I am in the editor everything seems fine. When I hit play or simulate
the lighting gets weird. See the screen for reference. It looks exactly the same as when you turn off the affects world option in a directional light.
Mine however is turned on and has no keyframes. Any suggestions? Lighting is pretty basic, one directional, a skylight and that is it. All movable, no baking.

I replaced my atmospheric fog and directional with a new one and it was solved. Looks like a setting in the light Atmosphere / Fog sunlight was causing this.
