    New 3d model search engine

    Hi, everybody!

A month ago we've started 3d model search engine.
Its like a Google, but only for 3d models.
    http://3dmdb.com/ - 3d model database.

Soon we'll add filters by price/format and search by pictures and by topology/profile/shape.

What else is necessary for your opinion? Would be great to get any feedback from you.
    Thanks.

You need to take a look at yobi3d and blenderswap, if you haven't done so already.

Your engine does not appear to index blenderswap, as far as I can tell, might be wrong about it.

Speaking of necessary features, it is vital to know under which license model is distributed, and limit search by license. At the very least it should be possible to filter out things that are usable for commercial purposes, at best, you need to be able to exclude viral licenses, like GPL(if anyone uses it for models) and CC-share-alike AND see if making derivatives is allowed.

For paid models engine would need:
    1. Ability to limit search by price range
    2. Ability to search for free free models,
    3. Ability to preview approximate prices in local currency.

We will continue with indexing of different stores and free stocks, so I hope soon it would be more than 1 million models in our index.
Filters would be ready very soon!

                            What a great site!

                            A couple of suggestions though.

A "next page" button at the bottom and a "search by newest" option.

                            Keep up the good work!
