    Death of a graphics card

I think my 980ti is dying
I now get black screens even trying to open the Windows start menu, I can only use my PC in safe mode
am asking here as event viewer captured this last time I actually opened something today on my PC which was Unreal Editor.
Faulting application name: UE4Editor.exe, version: 4.22.3.0, time stamp: 0x5d08906c
Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, version: 26.21.14.3160, time stamp: 0x5d2f8cc0
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x000000000034e837
    Faulting process id: 0x20d8
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d5535a3c9a2529
    Faulting application path: E:\programs\Epic Games\UE_4.22\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\nvwgf2umx.dll
    Report Id: a17f2606-bf4d-11e9-944a-448a5b61453a

now I cannot do anything on my PC in normal mode without it getting black monitors
it started 18July with the big windows updates then so been trying to rule out driver issues since and rolling back updates as well as clean installs even completely removing old and current drivers in safe mode and installing my card as new hardware, was another huge update today so whether it’s related I have no idea but one thing I did notice is my card in GPU-Z does ramp up the power usage to over 90% sometimes so maybe that’s a factor, it’s not overheating at all.

    yeah card is cactus
    an old 760 works fine
think I shorted it as found my missing METAL air compressor nozzle in my case on top of it!!!!

I still can use UE4 though but whether I should making videos like these is debatable
