    Mesh Optimize Tool

    Hi,

This is my first post, because the marketplace has not accept plugins or tools at present, I have to post here.

This mesh optimize tool is a standalone application, you may import FBX, DAE, OBJ, DXF and 3DS files, and export FBX files, generate high quality LOD levels with very low triangles count, it can also optimize huge 3d models while remain all animation/rigs.

This tool support both Windows(XP/7/8/10) and OS X(10.8/10.9/10.10) platform.

Yes it can be a handy program, but to take full advantage of it the engine needs to be able to recognize the _LOD0, _LOD1, etc naming convention on the object import.
    Maybe next update I'm hoping.

Not necessarily. You can manually import the LODs just fine. This looks awesome!

Yes but it's very time consuming, especially if you have hundreds/thousands of them to do in a scene

So he needs to pass command line arguments so we can script it the import, optimization and export of files.. That'd be awesome.

Yeah I did try get a script written up for 3ds max but no luck, so I shall wait and see what UE4 do with the next engine build
