I remember having had that issue, but I think it gets away once you enable Two-Factor Authentication in your Epic account security page.

Thank you for your suggestion! It probably depends on that, since I haven't yet activated 2-factor authentication.

EDIT: Yes! Enabled Two-Factor Authentication and now it works! Well I had to follow also the suggestion here (https://github.com/Erlandys/UE4LinuxLauncher/issues/11) to make it recognize Engine 4.22.

First of all, I would like thank you for making this. It will be a huge help to a lot of UE4 users. Btw I just had an issue: my Launch UE4 button is disabled. It basically didn't even identify the version. Even tho I have it installed. Any idea why this happened? I tried changing the directory. To the folder where the Editor is and updated it. It didn't work. Can you please help me out? I will greatly appreciate it.

          Hello,
I had stuff going with university, but it finally ended.
I have fixed problems with authentication, when not using Two-Factor Authentication (problem with #1008 code).
Also currently working on fix for 4.22 version, to work properly. Track github page, I will do more updates.

          Sincerely,
          Erlandas

Authentication doesn't work though :-/ I didn't think _anyone_ developed _anything_ on windows (_for_ windows, yes, but not on that OS), then again I've been in business coding the last 20 years — never stepped out of Linux since 1997. So, I was quite surprised that you can't even download the assets in Linux! :-/

I spent a lot of time exploring the code for this launcher, and I believe I was able to fix the issues with login, authentication, and asset retrieval. Seeing how Erlandys has been unavailable to respond to the current issues, I forked his repository and updated it with my bug fixes.

You can find the updated version here: https://github.com/neutrino-steak/UE4LinuxLauncher

I will continue to maintain the launcher for the time being, unless Erlandys comes back and wants to resume working on his project. For now, you can direct any issues you're having to my fork's repository page.

                          Hi all!

There is my solution for marketplace suppot in ubuntu. It'll be same for any other linux distributions.

                          1. Install and setup Wine.
                          Wiki is here: https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

                          2. Download winetricks

                          3. Install required tools using winetricks
                          Code:
                          sudo apt install winbind
                          winetricks corefonts
                          sudo apt install cabextract
                          3. Download latest official version of Launcher.
                          4. Run installation using wine
                          Code:
                          wine msiexec /i <path-to-launche-installer>.msi
                          5. After installation process finished first time run Launcher using wine with argument "SkipBuildPatchPrereq" to disable update process. Next time this argument isn't necessery anymore.
                          Code:
                          wine 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Epic Games/Launcher/Portal/Binaries/Win32/EpicGamesLauncher.exe' -SkipBuildPatchPrereq
Launcher is ready now, but it will not find any projects you created. To fix that you should do next steps:
                          1. Open "My Documents" folder of wine. Usually placed in "~/.wine/drive_c/users/<username-as-lunix>/My documents/".
                          2. Open or create folder "Unreal projects". You shuold have something like that: "~/.wine/drive_c/users/kir/Мои документы/Unreal Projects".
                          3. Make symbolic link to your project's folder.
                          Code:
                          cd "~/.wine/drive_c/users/kir/Мои документы/Unreal Projects"
                          ln -s <path-to-your-ue4-project> ./<project-name>
                          4. Restart Launcher.

Now you can download any assets to your projects.

                            Hi Erlandys,

I've just cloned your repo and tried running the Compiled version you have provided, but it still gives "null" in red right after you provide the 2FA and hit enter.

                            cheers.

I'm getting the same as above.. a "null" after 2FA. It seems to take the authentication, go up to 100% in that bar and then just says "null" in red.

                                To whom it may concern,

I tried different approaches to download marketplace content under Linux. I tired the Erlandys tool and also other tools forked from that, but I was getting "Error #1010" just after introducing the code from the 2FA application. I solved following the approach proposed by Neomer. The procedure using wine is straightforward. The only small correction I had to make was to specify the version of the UnrealEngine used for the project, since the EpicGameLauncher (emulated under wine) was not able to detect it.

                                I am running Fedora 32.

                                Cheers
